T. Randolph Catanese, Esq. has been a practicing attorney since 1983 after passing the California Bar Exam. Thereafter, he co-founded Catanese & Wells, a Westlake Village Business Lawyer conveniently located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara in 1989. He is a member of the California Bar, the Federal Bar and is admitted to practice before all courts in the state of California. He is also a member of the California State Bar Litigation, Estate and Business Law Sections. Mr. Catanese also participates in the Los Angeles County and Ventura County Bar Associations. As a California Civil Litigation attorney Mr. Catanese has handled many multi-million dollar litigation cases including those involving claims, commercial and civil litigation and real estate disputes. He is also experienced in the business arena assisting clients from start-ups to established companies seeking to expand and grow. While acting as counsel to Direct Stock Market, a private venture capital firm, Mr. Catanese organized and co-chaired the DSM Capital Access and Business Development Symposium where over $2 billion in venture capital was represented. Several appellate cases argued by Mr. Catanese have been published both in California State Courts and before the Federal Court of Appeal, 9th Circuit.
Mr. Catanese received his B.A. in General Studies from the University of Arizona in 1980 where he appeared on the Dean’s List. He then graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1983 with a juris doctor cum laude. While attending Pepperdine he was on the Law Review where he had two articles published. Mr. Catanese has appeared as a guest lecturer at the University of Arizona and at Pepperdine teaching on topics such as real estate development and finance and race horse syndication and business.
Born in 1957 at Tucson, Arizona Mr. Catanese was raised in Philadelphia. He is married with 3 children.
Douglas R. Hume, Esq.
Douglas R. Hume, Esq. was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. Thereafter, he began his law practice with Catanese & Wells focusing his practice on business matters with an emphasis on capital raising and business formation. In this area, Mr. Hume has acted as general counsel to many companies including several publicly-traded entities.
Mr. Hume has since developed a practice in the Civil Litigation and Estate Litigation fields as a California Business Litigation Lawyer. Mr. Hume also teaches “Introduction to Legal Studies” and “Constitutional Law” at Azusa Pacific University located in Los Angeles, California. To become a Los Angeles litigation attorney, Mr. Hume received his B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University in 1993 graduating magna cum laude. Thereafter, he attended Pepperdine University School of Law where he graduated in 1997.
Born in 1971 at Seattle, Washington Mr. Hume was raised in Orange County, California. He is married with 3 children.
